Cow suede is a fabric made from cow leather with a napped finish. Suede is made from the underside of the skin, or the bottom part of split leathers from larger animals. Because of its fabrication, suede is less tough and durable than other leathers, but is much softer and cozier than regular leather. Suede made from cowhides tends to be thicker and more durable than those made from the hides of lambs, goats, and other animals, and feature a shaggier nap. Cow suede is an excellent medium for applications ranging from shoes and bags to heavy upholstery projects.
